Performing Arts Organizations in Western Colorado 
 
Our dancers have performed in the symphony's Children's Concert, operas and "The Nutcracker" ballet with various professional ballet companies and the symphony.

Dancers from the Institute of Dancing Arts have been invited to perform in many of the opera productions by High Desert Opera.  The end of the year Opera Gala is one of our regular performances with the opera.

TDA director and instructor, Valerie Madonia, formerly at Joffrey Ballet, now a frequent guest artist with Lemon Sponge Cake Contemporary Ballet, has taught as guest teacher and given master classes at the Institute of Dancing Arts.

Ballet/Dance Companies in Colorado
 
Institute of Dancing Arts's student teacher, Alex Kramer, has danced the role of Fritz in their productions of "The Nutcracker" for two consecutive seasons.
BNC operates a dance company featuring 15 dancers and the school in Bloomfield, CO.  The company is heavily involved in community outreach and arts programs, supporting free arts events and donating free tickets to local charities.
Established in 1995 when an independent choreographer, Pat Connelly, was commissioned to hire dancers and create works for a concert at the Denver Art Museum.  The style range from hip-hop to classic Graham; from jumping jive to ballet pas de deux en pointe; from traditional to avant-garde compositions.
Founded in 1982,  Boulder Ballet is now a Boulder County's major professional ballet company and school.
CCB is a northern Colorado dance company that unites a full-season performing company with a year-round dance education center.  Previous performances include "The Nutcracker" and "Beauty and the Beast".

With a company of 31 professional dancers, 15 studio company dancers, a $6.6 million operating budget, an expansive repertoire and the Academies of Colorado Ballet, CB is a highly regarded ballet company.
Denver's contemporary ballet company brings new and innovative works to the Denver area, including modern takes on classics like "The Nutcracker".
