Q: How do I get there?
A: Please refer to the map and use the "Driving Directions" link below.  Do not use Yahoo! Maps or Google Maps.  As of 02/13/2008, their results are inaccurate.  You may use MapQuest for accurate results.

Q: How long have you been at the current location?
A: We have been at our current location since 1998.

Q: What should I wear to my class?
A: For ballet, we ask children (through 7 years of age) to wear PLAIN pink leotards, children (8 through 16 years of age) to wear PLAIN black leotards, and female adult students to wear solid color leotards.  ALL female ballet students must wear pale pink tights, pale pink ballet shoes and have hair in a bun.  Male students are required to wear white leotard or T-shirt, black tights and white ballet shoes/socks.  ALL STUDENTS - NO JEWELRY IN ANY CLASS.  NO UNUSUAL HAIR COLOR (BLUE, PURPLE, GREEN, ETC.).
For tap, tops and pants must not leave exposed midriff.  Black tap shoes.

Q: I missed a class. Can I get a refund?
A: No, we do not give tuition adjustments for missed classes.  We encourage you to arrange for a "make-up" class that is appropriate for your ability level.  Please ask Miss Diane for recommendation.
Q: I'm an adult.  Is there a class for me?  If interested, may I observe a class?
A: Yes!  We have classes at all levels in ballet, tap and a teen/adult jazz.  Yes, you're welcome to observe a class of your interest by calling the studio in advance at 256-0775.
Q: Where can I get my dancewear/shoes?
A: You can find girls' plain pink or black leotards and pink tights at most major retailers (e.g. Target, Wal-Mart).  LEAPS~n~BOUNDS (ph. 970-263-8179), 455 Main Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501 is a beautiful dance/gymnastics/figure skating clothing and dance shoe store located in the historic downtown.   You can also shop or request catalogs at online dancewear retailers such as Discount Dance Supply .
Q: My daughter loves to perform.  Will there be performances?
A: She will have many performance opportunities.  We have a community outreach program where we visit area nursing homes and churches for dance performances in full costumes.  Some of our youngest ballet students through adult tap and ballet students participate in these performances. We also have public ballet performances for the intermediate to advanced students.  Other performances include joint projects with Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra, High Desert Opera, and Western Slope Chamber Music Series.  And starting in 2008, IDA will present annual performances of the holiday classic, The Nutcracker in which all our ballet students will perform.

Q: Regarding the dress code, what do you mean by "PLAIN" leotard?
A: PLAIN leotard means leotard without complicated designs with many straps, swimsuit-like cut-outs, attached tutu or other embelishments (e.g. rhinestones, sequins, bows).  Examples of plain leotards are: short-sleeve round neck leotard, tank leotard with scoop front and back, and simple camisole leotard.
